Tonka Water has been chosen for the refurbishment of the City's existing treatment system in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. This project will include a renovated surface water treatment system including the Tonka Water BLEU™ stainless steel underdrain, along with the innovative Simul-Wash™ washwater conservation system.Tonka Water's BLEU™ underdrain replaces the current underdrain in order to extend the usable life of the filter. This stainless steel underdrain has a dual chambered design with air located externally eliminating all filtration dead zones.
